The story

Ristorante Casa Capitano is an Italian restaurant with an aviation theme, serving homemade pasta, wood-fired pizza and seafood dishes. Signature plates include Seafood a la Vodka, with lobster tail, scallops and shrimp in pink vodka sauce over fresh rigatoni, and Chicken Piccata in a white wine, caper and lemon sauce. Pasta shapes such as lasagna, cannelloni, manicotti and gnocchi are made fresh in-house, and the desserts are homemade as well.

The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday from 4 PM to 9 PM and is closed Monday and Tuesday. Reservations are taken by phone. The owners, Thomas and Elizabeth Brilotti, decorated the dining room with aviation pieces, including a radial engine-turned ceiling fixture. The restaurant is on Lake Street in Rouses Point, on Lake Champlain.
