Sustainably sourced coastal seafood with a Texas-grown side2850 N Interstate Hwy 35, Austin, TX

Salt Traders Coastal Cooking is a seafood restaurant built around meals its owners have eaten near the sea, from the Gulf Coast to the Bahamas and up the East Coast. It is known for oysters on the half shell, ceviche, clam chowder, shrimp and grits, and fish tacos, with the seafood sourced from fishermen and oyster growers along the coasts and balanced by Texas farm ingredients. The team also runs Jack Allen's Kitchen.
There are two locations, one in Round Rock and one in the Zilker area of Austin. Reservations and online ordering are available, and the chalkboard specials change nightly and differ by location. Oysters are $1 off every day, and the bar runs a happy hour on weekdays. Private dining rooms are available for parties and company events, and gift cards are sold at both locations.
