Monthly folk concerts, open stage and song circlesGrayslake, IL
Lake County Folk Club promotes the performance, appreciation and preservation of folk music in and beyond Lake County. Its monthly concert series brings local and national touring acts to the stage, and its open stage and song circle invite anyone to take part by playing or singing. Acoustic music of many kinds, from traditional and new-folk to roots, bluegrass, acoustic blues and old-timey, fits the club's focus.
The club is headquartered in Grayslake. Smaller gatherings, including open stage and song circle, meet at the Grayslake Heritage Center downtown, while concerts take place on the third Sunday of each month at the Grayslake Village Hall, a block away. Concert tickets can be reserved online or by phone, and members get discounted admission and a chance at opening-act slots. Artists seeking bookings should follow the club's booking policy.
