Alwin Anthony Salon

Alwin Anthony Salon is a one-woman hair studio in downtown Grayslake, where Sara Alwin specializes in hair extensions. The salon has operated since 2009 and moved from a larger space into a smaller studio inside The Alwin. Its main focus is the Hair Lingerie extension system, which the salon uses exclusively. The extensions are damage-free, reusable, undetectable, breathable and comfortable, and clients can add a few for fullness or more for both volume and length.

Sara Alwin is accepting new clients for extensions and offers a free consultation. Visits are by appointment, typically Tuesday through Friday, and the studio is at 136 Hawley Street. The salon is a member of the Strands for Trans network and describes itself as a safe, welcoming space for guests of all genders, identities and orientations. Online purchases can be picked up curbside.
