Toledo Electrical JATC

Toledo Electrical JATC is a joint apprenticeship and training program that trains IBEW electricians in northwest Ohio. It runs three registered apprenticeship tracks: inside and commercial electrical work, residential wiring, and telecommunications (voice, data and video) installation. Apprentices earn a union wage while they learn on real jobsites and attend daytime classes in labs built to replicate jobsite conditions, and they can earn up to 68 college credit hours toward an associate degree.

Applications are by appointment only, made online or by phone. Applicants must be at least 17 with a high school diploma or GED and one algebra credit, and they are ranked on scholastic achievement and work experience. The program is run by IBEW Local 8 and the NECA Ohio/Michigan Chapter and is located at 803 Lime City Road in Rossford. The office is open Monday through Friday during business hours, and journeymen can also take continuing education upgrade classes.
