Hawkins Furniture Co.

Hawkins Furniture Co. makes hand-built rustic furniture, including live edge tables, mantels, chairs and bed frames. Much of the wood is recovered from old farmhouses, dance halls and bowling alleys across Texas, or milled from trees lost to drought, storms and fires. Custom pieces can be commissioned, and customers can also bring their own wood or have family heirlooms refinished.

Visits are by appointment only, so call ahead at the number listed. The showroom at 1811 Avenue G in Rosenberg has finished pieces on display, and the woodshop lets visitors pick through raw timber. Hawkins has worked with clients from across Texas and beyond, including law firms ordering conference tables.
