Courteous K9

Courteous K9 is a dog training facility that offers group classes for all skill levels and ages, day training as an alternative to traditional daycare, board and train programs for vacations or extra help, and private lessons, including a program for reactive dogs. The trainers use a balanced approach, relying mainly on positive reinforcement and adjusting methods to each dog. The site also describes an online membership with step-by-step video lessons.

Dogs must meet vaccination requirements, which include Bordetella and distemper, plus rabies for dogs over 16 weeks, and intact dogs are welcome. Group classes are recommended for most owners, while dogs that are aggressive toward people are not accepted into day training or board and train. The facility is pet-friendly and has been operating for many years, with the business's own address listed on Northwest Diamond Ridge Lane in Rochester.
