Yard Boss

Yard Boss is a lawn care and pest control company that Steve Delaney founded in 2008, drawing on a background in agronomy. Its core is a six-step fertilizer and weed control program that runs from early spring through late fall, with pre-emergent treatments, slow-release feeding and a winterizer. The company also handles aeration with overseeding, monthly fungus and disease treatments from May through September, perimeter pest sprays, and tree care such as iron and emerald ash borer injections.

Scheduling is by phone, email or the website contact form, and the company notifies customers before each visit. Crews arrive in branded service trucks and the company offers a 100% no-risk guarantee. The office is in Roca, and the company serves Lincoln, Omaha and surrounding towns. From March through November, the office keeps Saturday hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the company also installs and removes Christmas lights.
