Ridgefield Hardware

Ridgefield Hardware is a hardware store that stocks a broad selection of tools and home supplies and says it will order anything it doesn't carry. The shop offers key duplicating, paint color matching from a sample, custom-cut window shades, and glass and screen cut to size, which many hardware stores no longer do. It is also an Ace Hardware location, so Ace gift cards and Ace Rewards are available.

The staff is known for taking time with questions and pointing customers to the right source when they cannot answer them directly. Propane exchanges are handled seven days a week, and chain and rope can be cut to custom lengths while you wait. The store is at 385 Main Street in Ridgefield, and it has been part of the community for about 70 years.
