Unkindness Art is a tattoo studio and fine art shop in Richmond, known for custom tattoos and a roster of eleven resident artists, each with a distinct style. The shop also sells art, apparel and merchandise, and hosts guest artists, maker's markets, seminars and community events throughout the year.
Tattoo work is by appointment, and the shop also keeps weekly walk-in hours, so it is worth calling ahead to check availability. The studio is at 2923 North Avenue, and its sister store, Nevermore, a gothic boutique and micro-gallery selling work from local makers, is in the building next door. Artists who want a guest spot can submit an inquiry through the website.
