The RipTide Car Wash

RipTide Car Wash runs washes through a neon wash tunnel, with packages that range from a basic wash with self-service finishing to protective coatings. The higher tiers add a wax finish, a ceramic coating, or a graphene coating that the company says bonds to the paint and builds up over repeated washes. Wheel cleaning, undercarriage washing and a set of interior and exterior detail services round out the lineup.

Monthly Unlimited Wash Club memberships are sold at each location, and single washes are also available. After the tunnel, drivers can finish at self-service detailing stations with free vacuums, all-purpose and window cleaner, and tire air. Digital gift cards can be bought online for single washes and detail services. The company says its water reclamation and filtration systems allow water to be reused, saving up to 100 gallons per wash compared with washing at home. This Richmond location is on Mechanicsville Turnpike.
