Richmond Dentistry for Children

Richmond Dentistry for Children is a pediatric dental practice that has served infants, children, adolescents and patients with special needs in the Greater Richmond area for more than 50 years. Its services include wellness exams, digital x-rays, cleanings, sealants, sports guards, fluoride treatments, tooth-colored fillings, stainless steel and white crowns, and restorative care for children with special needs.

The office encourages a first visit as early as one year of age, and some children are offered nitrous oxide for comfort during treatment. Parents are usually asked to step back during later appointments so staff can build rapport, though they are welcome in the treatment room. Children under eighteen must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and dental visits can be given as excused school absences with a note. Payment is due at the time of service, and the office accepts Medicaid, Smiles For Children and most private insurance. The practice is at 300 West Broad Street in Richmond.
