The story

Metro Sound is an independent music store in Richmond selling new, used and vintage guitars, basses, keyboards, amplifiers and effects pedals. The shop also takes in instruments for trade or sale, handles instrument repairs, offers lessons, and rents sound systems for events, rehearsals and performances.

The showroom sits on West Broad Street in Richmond's Arts District, and the team is glad to talk gear with visitors. Buying, selling and trading are all handled in store, so bring in a guitar, amp or keyboard you want to move. Store hours are Tuesday through Thursday 11 to 5 and Friday through Saturday 11 to 6.
