Christian-Lorraine Oriental Rugs cleans and restores antique and modern oriental rugs. Rugs are wet washed by hand at the company's in-plant cleaning facility, and a restoration team repairs and preserves fine carpets using hand-sewn techniques. The business also sells antique and new oriental rugs, other collectibles, and carpet pad.
The shop is at 214 East Franklin Street in Richmond. Regular hours are weekdays, Monday through Friday, with the shop closing early at noon on a few holiday dates. Owners Rebecca B. Lorraine and Ruby C. Lorraine continue a business founded in 1985 by Langdon T. Christian IV and John K. Lorraine Jr. Calling ahead is a good idea before dropping off a rug around the holidays.
