Reno Running Company

Reno Running Company is a locally owned running and walking specialty store with three locations around Reno and Sparks. The stores stock running shoes, apparel, accessories and nutrition, and staff run gait analysis on video before recommending shoes for a runner's goals. The company also organizes races, including the Rock Reno Half Marathon, and free group runs.

You can walk into any of the stores, where staff ask what activities you like, from running and walking to hiking. The Summit store is on South Virginia Street in Reno, with other locations in Sparks and at Lakeside. Owners Matt and Aimee Balzer opened the business in 2011, and the company has given to local nonprofits and high school athletes.
