Underhood Automotive

Underhood Automotive is an independent auto repair shop that handles everything from brakes, oil changes and check engine light diagnostics to transmission, AC, suspension and exhaust work. The shop works on foreign, domestic and European vehicles, and it also offers smog checks.

The team is led by Jaime, who opened the shop in 2006 after about 20 years in other repair shops. Technicians hold ASE certifications and use current diagnostic equipment, and the shop positions itself as a lower-cost alternative to dealership service. Customers can call ahead or fill out the contact form, and the shop is on Hartnell Avenue in Redding.
