Cohort Craft Brewery is a neighborhood brewery with two locations in the Black Hills, one in Rapid City and one on US-385 outside Hill City. It pours its own craft beer, which is brewed in-house in a small five-barrel system, along with a rotating selection of guest beers, crisp non-alcoholic drinks, and mead on tap, which the brewery says it always has. The Rapid City spot is known for its neighborhood feel, while Hill City is known for its mountain views.

Food comes from rotating food trucks and the Prairie Dog, and the brewery's deli is well reviewed by customers. The Rapid City taproom has an outdoor space with cornhole, bocce, fire pits and plenty of tables, and it is pet friendly. Gluten-free options are available, and the brewery hosts regular events such as trivia nights, comedy nights and live music.
