Fresh and frozen sweet corn from a family farm516 Friesland Road, Randolph, WI

Alsum Sweet Corn is a family vegetable farm in Randolph, Wisconsin, known for its sweet corn, which it sells fresh at roadside stands and farmers markets and also as frozen corn. The farm was started in 1912 as a dairy operation and began selling sweet corn in 1976, when Ken Alsum planted a crop for the Dane County Farmers Market in Madison. Each stand also carries a range of fresh fruits and vegetables.
The stands in Randolph, West Bend and Deforest have closed for the season, while the Brookfield stand stays open through the end of October with pumpkins, mums and fall decor. Alsum's can also be found on Saturdays at the Dane County, Westside and South Shore farmers markets. Frozen sweet corn is sold at a number of Wisconsin grocery stores. Credit cards, cash and WIC and senior market vouchers are accepted, but personal checks and debit cards are not, and credit card purchases carry a 3.7% fee. Large orders should be placed several weeks ahead.
