Specialized Refinishing

Specialized Refinishing Co. refinishes, resurfaces and reglazes bathtubs, showers, ceramic tile, vanities, vanity tops and countertops, so worn or stained surfaces can look new without a full replacement. The company also works on sinks, pools, grout and cracked or chipped surfaces, and says its work is done on porcelain, fiberglass, ceramic, laminate, Formica, metal and wood. Work for property managers, realtors, hotels and commercial buildings is part of what they handle.

Most jobs are finished in four or five hours, which means little disruption to the household compared with remodeling. Service is by appointment, and the company covers an area roughly 40 miles around Raleigh, including Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill and Apex. The Raleigh office is at Falls of Neuse Road, and the owner offers a written lifetime warranty on the work.
