Earp's Seafood Market

Earp's Seafood Market is a seafood market on South Saunders Street in Raleigh, selling fresh fish and shellfish. Its known offerings include live blue crabs, Chesapeake, Belhaven and Stump Sound oysters sold by the bushel or bag, shrimp, flounder, snapper, salmon and croakers. The market also sells prepared steamer pots with shrimp, clams, snow crab legs, lobster tail and scallops, along with corn, potatoes and sausage.

Staff will help pick out fish or shellfish and can prepare it for you if you like. Orders can be placed online, and weekly specials run midweek and on weekends. The market has been run by the Earp family for about five decades and is known for its light blue awning and fish mural along the southern entrance to downtown Raleigh.
