Coffee, grab-and-go snacks and drinks in a restored historic house701 Palmer Drive, Raleigh, NC

House of Many Porches Market is a market in a restored 1898 house inside Dix Park, serving hot and iced coffee, espresso drinks, grab-and-go sandwiches, baked goods, cheese and meat boards, ice cream and popsicles, plus beer, wine and gifts. The house was built as a home for senior staff at the former mental health hospital campus, later held administrative offices, and sat vacant after the hospital closed in 2012 before reopening as a gathering space in Gipson Play Plaza.
You can relax in a rocking chair on the porch, sit at a café table on the Garden Patio, or walk through the Kitchen Garden of herbs, medicinal plants and fruit trees. Beer and wine must be enjoyed in the designated area around the market. The market has an accessible restroom and a water station, and it is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
