Burke Brothers Hardware

Burke Brothers Hardware is a hardware store that has been serving customers since 1936, when John and Paul started it. The store is known for its plumbing and electrical selection, including water heaters, and it is a Benjamin Moore paint dealer with a full line of paint sundries. Shoppers also find power and hand tools from Milwaukee and other brands, fasteners, air filters, and a lawn and garden section with plants, seeds, soil and mulch.

The catalog lists over 75,000 products, which can be ordered for in-store pickup or delivery to the store, though not every item is stocked on the shelf, so it is worth calling ahead to check availability. Staff are described as helpful and knowledgeable, and many in-store items are not in the catalog, so asking for something unlisted is worthwhile. The store is at Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, about a quarter mile west of the NC State Fairgrounds.
