Prime Ops

Prime Ops staffs off-duty police officers, both active and retired, for construction sites, traffic control, retail loss prevention, schools, and events across Washington. Traffic control is the bulk of its work, with officers placed for traffic-control firms and telecom and utility customers. Construction clients use officers for site security and traffic flagging.

Shifts are posted in the Prime Ops app, and local officers claim them there rather than through a call center. The company says it fills most shifts, and it carries general liability and auto coverage and is licensed in Washington. Prime Ops was founded in Puyallup in 2018 and also built the illuno scheduling platform, which runs off-duty staffing in more than 40 states. The office is at 702 South Hill Park Dr in Puyallup, with 24/7 operations and office hours on weekdays.
