Urban Greens Co-op Market

Urban Greens Co-op Market is a consumer-owned grocery cooperative that sells fresh produce and local food with a focus on nutritious, affordable options. The co-op began in 2000 as a buying club with 22 members and opened its store in summer 2019. It has been voted Providence's Best Local Market in several recent years, and it runs a catering kitchen, events, and SNAP and WIC benefits.

The store is open to everyone, not just members, and membership is open to all. Shoppers can check the weekly sales flyer, and members get periodic perks. The market is at 93 Cranston Street in Providence, in a mixed-use development with affordable housing. Holiday hours are shorter on Christmas Eve and it is closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
