Gelato Gilberto

Gelato Gilberto makes artisanal gelato from scratch, with no powders or premade bases, using fresh milk from a local family-owned dairy, organic cream and cane sugar. Flavors range from farmers market peaches and locally sourced wildflower honey to Sicilian pistachio paste and Ghirardelli dark chocolate, and the menu has more than 200 flavors created over the years. The Italian-trained gelato chef builds each flavor by hand.

The shop also runs catering and events, including gelato carts, a private party room called the Auguri celebration room, and a custom Airstream gelato trailer. Event flavors can be designed with the gelato chef. The Norton Commons location in Prospect is open daily except Monday, with later hours on weekends.
