Polara Health

Polara Health is a nonprofit behavioral health provider serving Yavapai County, with adult and children and youth outpatient care, substance use prevention, a senior peer program and crisis intervention. Its Crisis Stabilization Unit accepts walk-in clients around the clock, and its Windhaven Psychiatric Hospital in Prescott Valley provides inpatient psychiatric care.

The agency traces its roots to a volunteer-founded clinic set up in 1966 and says it is the largest local nonprofit of its kind in the county, serving about 9,300 people a year. Outpatient appointments are arranged through the main access line, and clients are asked to confirm appointments by text or phone within 24 hours. Telehealth visits are offered, and the agency also runs clinics in Prescott, Chino Valley and Camp Verde.
