Winneshiek Bar & Grill

Winneshiek Bar & Grill, known locally as The Winnie, is a bar and restaurant on St. Feriole Island that has been serving Prairie du Chien since 1936. The menu leans toward bar food: burgers, wings, nachos, cheese curds, and catfish, along with Wisconsin beers such as Spotted Cow. Hand-cut potato chips are made in house.

It is a summer favorite for people arriving by car, bike, or boat, and the bar has a patio overlooking the Winneshiek Marina. Takeout is available. The restaurant also rents boat slips at the marina for overnight or short stays, and the menu is abbreviated during holidays and special events.
