Jan's and Arcade Book Exchange

Jan's and Arcade Book Exchange, known locally as J&A, is an independent bookstore that specializes in used fiction paperbacks, with a smaller selection of used non-fiction and hardcovers and a small stock of new books. Shoppers can also find used puzzles and games, locally handmade goods on consignment, cards, candles and other gifts.

The store will order any title on request, and it hosts several monthly book clubs, a monthly crafting session and painting classes. It also rents its space for meetups and sells Stevens-Ness legal forms. The store is at the Scholls Crossing complex in Raleigh Hills on Southwest Scholls Ferry Road in Portland, and it is open Monday through Saturday with shorter Sunday hours.
