Backfin Blues Restaurant

Backfin Blues serves scratch comfort food and craft cocktails in an elevated social setting in historic Port Deposit. The kitchen cooks with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and the bar mixes cocktails with premium spirits and house-made elements. Craft and domestic beer, an extensive wine list and non-alcoholic drinks round out the menu. Chef Adam Heath, who trained under longtime chef Bob Steele, reopened the restaurant after it closed in August 2025.

Reservations can be made through the website, and gift cards are available. Dinner is served Wednesday through Sunday evenings, with Friday and Saturday running later, and Sunday brunch is served earlier in the day. Monday and Tuesday are closed. The room is intimate and social, and the restaurant sits on South Main Street, making it a good spot for a night out with friends.
