Rooted In Beauty is a hair studio run by stylist Alysa Romano, known for color work and an eco-friendly approach that aims to reduce its carbon footprint. The menu covers haircuts for men, women and kids, balayage and highlights, permanent color and gloss, blowouts, and a range of Malibu and Aluram treatments for repair, shine and hard water damage.

New clients need a consultation booked before a first color appointment, and a card is required to reserve any appointment. Cancellations or changes within 48 hours are charged 50 percent of the service, and a 15-minute late arrival can forfeit the slot. The studio is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, and sits on Durkee Street in downtown Plattsburgh.
