InsightMoves PT is a private physical therapy practice run by Kate LaValley, a New York licensed physical therapist with a master's in physical therapy and certifications in mechanical diagnosis and therapy and Sensation Based Motivation Coaching. She has worked in orthopedics for more than 20 years, mostly in private practice in Syracuse and Plattsburgh. Her approach focuses on pain that changes with movement and position, along with the link between the body and mind, aiming to give patients strategies they can use on their own.

Visits are generous in length and include a full evaluation, with follow-ups to track progress and update the home program. Medicare, Tricare, workers' compensation and AARP are accepted, and claims are submitted through a billing service. Other insurers are handled as direct pay, with receipts available for out-of-network reimbursement. Video visits and in-home or workplace visits are offered for some patients. Under New York direct access rules, a referral is not needed for the first 10 visits or 30 days, though Medicare and workers' compensation require one.
