Ember and Root

Ember & Root is a mental health counseling practice offering therapy that combines EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Internal Family Systems therapy, with mindfulness and strengths-based practices added along the way. Clinical director Anna Dickson works mainly with late teens, adults and couples on trauma, anxiety, depression, and mood and personality disorders, while associate Jaelyn Martin works with children, adolescents and young adults ages 7 to 25.

The practice offers a free 15-minute consultation before a first appointment, and sessions typically run 50 minutes to an hour. Ember & Root shares an office in downtown Plattsburgh with Avenue Acupuncture, and it also has a satellite office in Malone.
