Platteville Main Street Program

The Platteville Main Street Program is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to restore and preserve the historic character of downtown Platteville. It pursues traditional economic development strategies, including marketing, business recruitment and retention, real estate development, market analysis and public improvements.

The program runs downtown events such as the Farmer's Market, Music in the Park, the Main Street Wine Walk and a holiday shopping event, and it sells Main Street Root Beer at many district businesses and at its office. Its work is organized into committees covering economic vitality, design, promotion, organization and sustainability.
