Whitney Center for the Arts

Whitney Center for the Arts is a presenting and producing arts center in the historic 1865 Thomas Colt House. It runs two art galleries and presents comedies, dramas, musicals, concerts, opera nights and cabarets, along with events for teens and children, in an intimate performance venue. The Whit was founded in 2012 by Pittsfield native Lisa Whitney and takes its name from her parents.

The building is at 42 Wendell Avenue in downtown Pittsfield, in the Upstreet Cultural District. Upstairs offices and studios are available to rent, and the center also rents space for special events and parties, with event and party rental equipment available as well.
