THE 9

The 9 is an experiential wellness and community-building experience built around the nine elements of human existence: love, vulnerability, food, creativity, strength, touch, meditation and focus, mindfulness and mindlessness, and relationships. Its workshops mix creativity, movement, shared food, conversation and reflection, and its retreats bring all nine elements together over longer stays in nature. It also offers spa treatments, massage therapy and yoga.

Workshops are two to three hours long with a suggested donation of $20, and nobody is turned away for inability to pay. Retreat pricing varies, with a sliding scale when possible. The 9 also brings facilitated experiences to organizations, workplaces, colleges, nonprofits and recovery programs. Workshops are held at 146 North St in Pittsfield, and new dates open a few at a time, so people can join a waitlist to hear first.
