East Coast Refinishing

East Coast Refinishing is an industrial contractor that does abrasive blasting, protective coatings, metal fabrication and fleet refinishing. Its work includes steel grit and sand blasting, epoxy, urethane and zinc-rich coatings, structural steel fabrication, and custom railings and architectural metalwork. Clients include fabricators, manufacturers, municipal and government agencies, and marine and wastewater projects.

The company started in 1999 as a blasting and refinishing operation and is now run by the second generation of the Melle family. Work is done in a 32,000 square foot facility in Pittsfield, with enclosed blasting booths and a controlled paint booth for large and oversized parts. Each project begins with a review of the coating specification, and finished components are checked for dry film thickness before pickup or delivery. Fleet vehicle owners can also get undercoating and wax protection.
