Dog Trainer in Phoenix AZ

Cathy's Canines is the dog training business of Cathy, a sole trainer in Phoenix with more than 30 years of experience with dogs. She is known for in-home lessons, a four to five session basic manners program, and puppy and adult boot camps that include board and train. Her methods rely on body language and a slip leash, with no e-collars, clickers or treats, and the focus is on trust and respect rather than fear.

Group classes are split by size, with Tuesday sessions for medium and large dogs and Thursday evening socials for puppies and small dogs, both open to clients only. In-home evaluations are offered within 20 miles, and single sessions are available after training. Nail trimming and teeth cleaning can be done at her home or yours. Dogs in board and train stay with her, and she is based in Phoenix.
