Cafe Balkan

Cafe Balkan is a restaurant serving traditional Balkan and European dishes, with a menu built around grilled meats, slow-cooked stews and freshly baked pastries. Signature items include the 10 oz. Pljeskavica beef patty on homemade pita, Sarma wrapped in sour cabbage, Goulash, and Burek pies sold by the slice or as whole pies. The menu also covers soups, fresh salads and a dessert case with baklava and palacinka crepes.

You can order online for pickup or delivery, or call ahead, and whole Burek pies need 35 to 40 minutes of cook time. The restaurant is at 21043 N Cave Creek Rd in Phoenix, with parking on site and a small Balkan market stocked with imported goods beside the dining room. It is open daily except Mondays, with later hours on weekends.
