Altered Aura Head Spa

Altered Aura Head Spa is a head spa focused on scalp care, where each visit starts with a trichology-based scalp analysis before a treatment is chosen. The menu includes the Autumn Glow, Sublime Scalp, Ethereal Scalp and Transcendent Scalp and Face rituals, a Quick Scalp Ritual, the Ascension Ritual, plus blowouts and facial massage. The owner, a licensed cosmetologist and certified trichologist, works with concerns such as dandruff, excess oil, thinning and shedding, and psoriasis diagnosed by a physician, and says head spa care does not replace medical treatment.

Appointments are booked online through the spa's booking page. Cancellations made within 12 hours are charged 50 percent of the service price, and no-call no-shows are charged the full price, so cancellations need to be made by phone or text rather than email. The spa is inside Sola Salons at 2811 W Agua Fria Fwy in Phoenix, and it is open Tuesday through Sunday with shorter hours on weekends.
