Fu-Wah

Fu-Wah is a mini market and deli that has been run by the same family since its first day of business in 1982. The deli is known for the Original Tofu Banh Mi, with other bold Banh Mi styles alongside classic hoagies and sandwiches made fresh each day. The shelves carry specialty and hard-to-find Asian products as well as everyday grocery staples.

The store is open seven days a week, and the kitchen closes earlier than the store, so sandwiches are best picked up during the afternoon. Large orders should be phoned in ahead of time at (215) 729-2993, though many people simply stop in for a sandwich. The shop sits on South 47th Street in the University City area of West Philadelphia.
