Dottie's Donuts makes vegan donuts with no dairy or eggs, and everything in the store is vegan, including the Boston cream. Staples include chocolate, vanilla, vanilla sprinkles, cinnamon sugar, Boston cream, apple fritters, cinnamon buns and brownies, while the rest of the lineup rotates daily and is posted on social media.

Customers can walk in and pick their flavors at the counter. Orders of more than five dozen should be placed ahead, and wholesale pricing is available by email or phone. Nuts are often used as toppings and are handled in the same kitchen, so people with nut allergies should ask first. All of the donuts contain soy and wheat. The shop has several Philadelphia locations, including one on Springfield Avenue.
