The Fish House

The Fish House is a seafood restaurant that has served the greater Peoria area since 1976. The menu runs from fresh seafood dishes from around the world, including Florida Gulf shrimp, Alaskan halibut, Chilean sea bass and South African lobster tails, to steak, chicken and pasta for diners who aren't in the mood for fish. Known regulars include the famous freshwater prawn, the crab turnovers and the Fish House rolls.

Reservations can be made by phone. The attached lounge pours wines, specialty beers and spirits, and the bartenders are known to regulars by name. A seafood market at the rear of the restaurant sells portioned fresh seafood, custom shrimp cocktail party trays, carry-out orders and gift certificates, and it is open afternoons and evenings. Gift certificates are sold through the market entrance.
