Raber Packing

Raber Packing is a meat market and custom processor that has been in West Peoria since its founding in 1954, when it began as a place for farmers to have livestock processed rather than doing it on the farm. The shop sells its own fresh and smoked meats, cooked products like luncheon meats, hot dogs, Polish sausage and brats, and German-style sausages. Carroll's Smokehouse serves hot sandwiches and meals at a lunch counter.

The retail store is open most days, with shorter hours on Sundays and the smokehouse lunch counter closed on Sundays. Custom harvesting and processing, including wild game, is still part of the business, and the team also handles catering and parties. The shop is at 3000 W. Farmington Road, after a 2018 fire led to a rebuild in a larger facility that opened in December 2021.
