The Peoria Park District runs Luthy Botanical Garden, a five-acre garden in Glen Oak Park known for its tropical conservatory and fifteen theme gardens and borders, including a rose garden, children's garden, herb garden, and woodland garden. Seasonal floral shows include a spring show, a chrysanthemum show, and a Poinsettia Show that runs through November and December.

Admission is free, though donations are welcome. The garden is open 10 am to 5 pm every day, and the gates close at 4:30 pm. Service dogs are the only dogs allowed, bicycles must be walked, and plants may not be collected. The garden also hosts weddings, showers, and corporate events, and its horticulturists give talks and private tours for community groups. Members get discounts on classes and programs.
