Hacienda El Mirador is a Mexican restaurant run by two cooks, Lucas and Julia, who moved their restaurant from Chicago to Peoria. The menu covers traditional Mexican dishes and Tex-Mex favorites, with burritos made with steak, chicken, chorizo or hash, handmade desserts, and signature margaritas. Specialties include Mama Mole, a house-made mole, the Hacienda Parrillada platter for one or two people, and tacos made with corn tortillas Lucas makes himself.
The restaurant has weekly specials, including Margarita Mondays, Taco Tuesdays and Tamales Thursdays. It is on North Humboldt Avenue in Peoria, and the hours are 9 AM to 9 PM Sunday through Thursday and 9 AM to 10 PM on Friday and Saturday, with a Sunday breakfast and fajita special. Staff bring chips and salsa to start, and the restaurant has a birthday club.
