Better Earth Compost

Better Earth Compost takes in yard waste and food scraps and sells finished compost and mulch from its Peoria site. Accepted loads include grass, leaves, brush, firewood logs, food scraps, compostable products and spoiled grains, while treated or painted wood, plastics, rock, concrete and metal are turned away. The company also offers a mulch calculator and a product and pricing page for bulk orders.

The site lists hours of operation Monday through Friday and a shorter Saturday schedule, with Sundays closed and the yard closed on federal holidays. Loading stops 30 minutes before closing. Residential food scrap service, community compost kiosks and commercial food scrap hauling are handled through the sister company Better Earth Logistics. The yard is on South Cameron Lane in Peoria.
