Open Books is a nonprofit bookstore and community project in Pensacola. The store has a broad selection of used books, and its poetry section is considered one of the best in the city. The bookstore is run alongside the Prison Book Project, a grass-roots effort that sends books to people in prison.
The store is open noon to 5 PM seven days a week at 1040 N. Guillemard St. Donations of books and money are welcome, and the group is a registered 501(c)3, so donations are tax deductible. Volunteers keep both the store and the mail project running.
