The Aquatic Academy

The Aquatic Academy teaches swimming to people from about six months old to adults, with lessons for beginners and stronger swimmers alike. The program also offers homeschool swim clinics, water safety badges for Girl and Boy Scouts troops, and mobile lessons that bring the program to a customer's location. Founder and lead coach Charyl Teal has more than 35 years of experience in the water as a competitive swimmer and coach.

Lessons are booked through the website, and the school runs seasonal sessions with make-up classes and merit badge dates listed for the fall. Indoor classes meet at the Pearland Natatorium on Bailey Road, and the academy also runs an outdoor location in Pearland during the summer. Coaches are trained in-house and hold American Red Cross certifications in Water Safety Instruction, First Aid, CPR and Lifeguarding.
