Soma BJJ

Soma Academy teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to kids, teens and adults, with an emphasis on ground fighting, self-defense and the mental side of training. Classes are split by age, from Little Porcupines for ages 4 to 6 through Adult Advanced for students with three stripes and up. The school trains in the Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu style.

New students can try a free introductory week before signing up. Women's-only classes, private lessons and small group self-defense sessions are also on the schedule, with limited spots in the private and small group options. The Oxford school is one of several locations, including West Chester and Dayton, and the children's classes meet twice a week.
