Riverfront hotel, event venue and private club2143 Astor Street, Orange Park, FL
Club Continental is a 1923 riverfront hotel, event venue and private club on the St. Johns River in Orange Park. Built as a winter home for a Palmolive heir, its Mediterranean-style mansion sits among live oaks draped with Spanish moss. The property has 22 guest rooms, many with river views, seven tennis courts, three pools and a restaurant serving gourmet lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch.
Weddings, elopements, showers, celebrations of life and private parties from eight to three hundred guests are hosted here, and the club also runs member dining and a tennis program. Reservations are appreciated for dinner and required for the Sunday omelet bar brunch. Carryout is available at lunch and dinner, and a cabana bar serves drinks by the pool. The club sits about 20 minutes from Jacksonville.
